Vibro Stone Columns

Vibro stone columns can be constructed in areas of weak soils in order to densify the ground and reduce settlement characteristics.

The columns are constructed utilising a vibroflot and stone aggregate.

Vibro stone columns are often used to form foundations for lightweight structures such as residential buildings, commercial units or distribution warehouses and they are an economic solution for the support of large floor areas.

The Akela vibroflot can also be used for vibro-compaction of loose fill materials improving density and allowing road and floor construction on improved granular fill materials.
